My 92 Camaro (specs in sig) has 150,00 miles on the odo. and for the first time I started seeing uneven wear on the front tires.
...the inside of the tires was wearing extremely premature.......
I took the car to a shop in town and they said the toe adjustment was very wrong and it was probably due to the ball joints.
At the same time I noticed a howl from the front end when I braked.
Now off to the parts store. I got new tie rods, adjusters, draglink, pitman arm, ball joints, wheel bearings, and I already had ES bushing set in the garage just waiting for me to play with her.
I have installed the ball joints the wheel bearings and the sway bar bushing kit, and since I didn't have time I just greased the front end.
So my question is.....I took her out on a test drive and the difference is amazing...so should I install the other parts, and if I donot will the balljoints suffer premature failure?
BTW, the steering is much more crisp and the roughness over bumps is gone, and the howl is totally gone.

Probably not in the short term. However, with that kind of mileage I would want to replace the A-frame bushings and the rest of the steering linkage so that I could get an alignment done.
Performance suspension components offers entire front end rebuild kits for very cheap and I think the tie-rods and such are all Moog components.

Yes, replace it all. Extra slop in the steering will cause other parts to wear out faster and make the car harder to control. Plus having a rebuilt front end will give you an even bigger smile on your face when you see how much better it handles.

I have seen it this way, 122k on it when i replaced everything but the ball joints and a-arm bushings, I think its back to about 50% of origional handling/tightness, Im going to do the b-joints and a-arms asap, they have to be the only thing thats missing and I think they make the most difference, point being that you should do them all at the same time! I know I will next time.

You want an improvement... wait until your car has over 250,000 miles on it - like mine did- and only had the idler arm and center link changed once. Then change everything out all at once- it's a hell of a difference!!!
