Rear - STB?
In this months edition of Car&Driver there is the M3-Dinan which comes with mods made to the M3. One of the mods is a rear strut tower brace for suspenion mods.
Yes, I know we have rear shocks, but would the mod(to add the r-stb) increase suspension handling?
I found the dinan site that intro's the rear stb:
http://dinancars.com/html/m3_e36/m3_...tc.htm#Spacers
Is there a need for it on our 3thgen's? Any thoughts? I'm interested in hearing...

some guys on here have made rear shock braces.... and theres this one pic floating around of a brace where the rear bumper goes.....
but theres not a huge benifit to it for our cars....

note...
some people claim theres some beinifit... some claim it does nothign but add weight...
in anycase, the diff is so small that to most people, its not worth the hassle....

sub frame connectors on our car brace the chassis and keeps it from twisting..
WE DONT HAVE ANY REAR STRUTS...
so we dont have to worry about the rear end deflecting...

if you look at the top of the struts on that car, there is nothing to tie the top of them together (they come up like our front towers do), that's what the rear strut tower brace does (and it does help).
On our cars, the shock bolt into the rear "hump" and that's pretty much the same piece of metal from one side of the car to the other, so we've already got a stiffer setup than even the M3's bar is going to add IMO
