hi, im looking at a set of INTRAX lowering springs and KYB shocks, are the these any good?

Who's got thos INTRAX springs under his camaro (or bird)? i wanna know how low it will sit.

i was looking at some cheap twin tube KYB shocks.non adjustable.

i want some good corner handling, but no hardcore-brake my back on each little bump- shocks and springs...

I'd say that my kyb agx shocks and kyb gr-2 struts are decent for daily driver or street performance applications but for severe road track use, forget it.
If you don't plan on making it to road courses they are just fine

I run the Eibach sportlines and KYB GR-2 shocks and struts. Very happy.

Dude on here named Maroon something or other has the Intrax. 2" drop...not my style but hey, looks good I guess.

Check out the spring rates before you buy them too. Compare them with the stock IROC rates and make sure they aren't too stiff for you. Then again at that height you will need fairly stiff springs to keep from bottoming out. Most of what I've heard about the intrax has been that they are too stiff, which can be a good thing if your looking for performance not comfort.

As far as the GR-2's are concerned I have heard too many horror stories about them not handling much more than a 1" drop and blowing out after a couple months. Also you will void your warranty if the drop is 1.5" or more which the intrax are. Keep in mind I am not speaking from experience here but I have researched shock and spring combos almost non-stop for the last 2 weeks. Most of what I read comes from user reviews from many different types of cars.

Either way I really dont see GR-2's handling that much of a drop very well, especially on stiff springs. The damping is not strong enough and you will probably end up with a bit of a bounce. I would say either go with a pro-kit or at least something with less of a drop than intrax, or start looking into better shocks and struts.

I just did the Eibach Pro Kit and Bilstein shocks/struts and I am very pleased. Rides as well as it ever did on the street, but when you corner, there's very, very little roll - she stays smooth and flat. The normal bumps in the road ride well, but the Eibach springs are stiff enough on the larger bumps to keep my longer 4th gen rear from rubbing the fenders. My springs were in bad shape, as the 1 inch lowering springs actually raised my ride by 1 inch!

And I installed it all myself! New tie rod ends, and ball joints as well. Did the $119 lifetime alignment from Firestone today, and I'm happy (poor as dirt, but happy).

ooh, shoot! I'll just cut off the stock springs and call it a day.

i better spend the money on some decent heads...

Another one thats using Prokit & Bilsteins for lowered cars all the way around.In the 20 yrs that I've owned it it's never handled like this.
