So i picked up a set of used Koni yellow struts , but the guy i got them from did not own the car he was parting out originally, he gave me the struts, and mounts with the struts still attached to the mounts. I just tried to remove the 7/8 nut that holds the strut to the mount, and the nut just spins with the top part of the strut. is there a tool, or somthing special i should know to remove the nut on the top of the strut?

just above the strut mount nut, there is a piece of the strut shaft that has flat sides so you can put another wrench on it to keep the shaft from spinning while you remove the large nut
