Looking for a front spring for my v6 to v8 swap that will lower it around 1 inch or little more. It has factory V6 springs right now

also looking for struts that will ride nice and be better for drag racing on a budget

Re: Front springs/struts only?
dont use stock V6 Springs... whether new or used... they wont ride good at all(V6's weigh a goob bit less than the V8... u will need the higher spring rates for the added weight, V6 springs on a V8 will sag alot more and just keep bouncing after hitting a bump... if u dont get a hard hit from hitting the bump stop every time). stock moog V8 springs are better, if u want hack a coil off or two to lower it as u please, but by decreasing ride height in the front u limit the weight transfer from the front to the rear, taller springs in the front will help it to squat more effectivly.. struts u cant have both worlds... a stocker will give u stock driving. u want drag racing, better weight transfer, shocks desgined to help u squat then u get drag shocks. drag shocks are super soft and wont be good drivers, a cheaper softer shock will work, but they are cheap and prob wont ride nice just like the drag shocks... compared to the KYB, or ur alil better than stockers... but the better than stock KYB like the GR2 are cheap and will ride better than the monroe sensatracs etc... but wont be better than a cheaper softer shock or drag shock for drag racing... u cant have both... u have to compromise

good advice
Yea I am def going to comp. on ride I want it more DD then drag only but will race it for fun.

I was looking into the stocker moogs but i heard they were higher then stock and also looking into GR2 or lakewood 70/30 but they are twice the money

Re: Front springs/struts only?
the moogs arent really taller... its just that our stock springs have 130,000 miles on them and are sagging alot. most lowering springs wont even lower the car, they might actually raise it. the moogs bring u back to stock ride height... they give u that 4x4 look. expect a good amount of fender gap but the car will ride alot better even with new springs... as far as the struts the gr2s are not the same as the lakewoods. i have gr2's on mine from wat u can see in my sig... they ride ok, bc i was strapped for money and i was pulling the springs anyway i threw them in bc mines a daily driver. i cant see me spending 700$ on koni yellows even if they are the best. i'll prob go with sum AGX's.
i did KYB gr2 front and kyb gas-a-just rear, sportline springs, poly front Aarms bc eveything else was done and it made a huge diff in handling... like its on rails.

both those struts are soft. soft struts let u leave hard and have smooth DD... not race car handling. its up to u, choose which u want more of and be ready to sacrifice more of the other. u want a fun DD then dont expect a good squating track car.
