ive noticed that spohn is usually cheaper than hotchkis and im wondering if there is a quality difference between the two.

Re: Spohn vs Hotchkis
what parts?
from what i've dealt with, hotchkis is overpriced for what you really get. Very overpriced on certain parts.

Re: Spohn vs Hotchkis
alot of people get spohn parts because they are a sponsor on this site... they have good prices too.... hotchkis have overpriced items.. if you look at their front end rebuild kit they are knocking on 500 dollars.... but theres are forged and heated treated.... i have alot of spohn parts on my car and im happy with them....

Re: Spohn vs Hotchkis
i was looking mostly at sway bars and conrol arms and hotchkis charges twice as much for what looks like the exact same thing.

Re: Spohn vs Hotchkis
forget hotchkiss control arms and panhard, they are only available wilth poly bushings AFAIK, and thats really not ideal.
as for the sway bars, a stock 36mm front bar is almost identical to Hotchkis 1 7/16 bar, its only a hair smaller, and you can get the stock ones for 30bux usually, or 250 for the hotchkiss bar....i'd take the stock one for the money.
I think Spohns bar is smaller in diameter, but its solid, so it should be a fair bit stiffer than a 36mm stock bar. But it would be too much sway bar depending on your suspension setup.

Re: Spohn vs Hotchkis
I think it's a good idea to get 2-5 GM bars for the cost of one aftermarket bar. Allows you to tune in the suspension once you have the shock/spring combo in the car.
