Well, i haven't been to the track yet but i got some G-Tech times
15.12 @ 90 mph... dunno if thats good or accurate
but thats what i got....
a few questions my fan doesn't turn on after the car gets up to 220
iv let it go passed 230 then shut it off its done this before and i have fixed it before...
does anyone know how to by-pass some of the relays or triggers that tell the fan to turn on... or if you can help me just hook up a switch i can turn the fan on whenever i want....
RPMs, the Camaro used to idle at 1,500 now it idles at 500
i dunno why? its not normal for me to see because the camaros always been up into the 1,500 range...
thanks guys

You may have broken you fan switch during your hedder install. There is a tech article to make an override switch for your fan.

Yes, 500 rpm is about where its supposed to be. What did you replace? Was the old IAC bad?Originally posted by NEEDforSPEED

At one time, I replaced everything because my car had some symptoms of overheating. Never got real bad though.
But once I replaced everything, added a smaller cooling fan w/toggle in front of the rad/cond, and replacing the original larger fan...
I found out that the connector that slides in to the connector port on the fan was loose and getting bad contact. So I bought a new connector and fan plastic housing and it works fine now.
Just something to look out for before you bypass some things just to get it to stay on...

Installing a remote switch is realy simple, and is worth looking into a little further. Just keep in mind it will only cool to your thermostat. i.e. it will only cool to 195 degrees with the remote switch and stock stat. A 160 or 180 degree stat is worth swapping to.
Also 500 or 600 rpm is a good idle on a stock lo3. You could have a faulty IAC or it is possible your throttle cable or throttle shaft was sticking.
