I had to replace my intake manifold on a 89 Camaro 305 TBI V8, and when I got everything back in my injectors wouldn't let out fuel. I had the ECM chip programmed to ignore the VATS, and checked my injectors with a pulse light and they are firing ok. I changed the injectors and still cannot get the engine to start. I am getting fuel to the injectors, but it is not getting sprayed into the barrels. I am stuck and can't figure this out.Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

I assume you put the distributor back in okay? Did you even get the car to run long enough to set the base timing? You didn't by chance miss match and of the plug wires on the cap did you?

I assume that trickster sent you wiring diagrams and other items. Check to make sure that you have voltage in all the right places and that the voltage doesnt drop when the injectors go to fire. It could be possibly a bad connection somewhere that impedes the flow of current. Since the injectors are switched on the negative side you can ground that side at the injector connector and see if each injector fires properly. Refer to the wiring diagrams for the correct wires so you dont blow one of the fusable links. Obviously if you ground the side with constant +12 volts the short will cause some problems

Another alternative is taht maybe the injector drivers are bad. IIRC, this is a symptom of failing drivers. They can flash a light but still cant handle the high current load of an actual injector.

BTW, welcome to TGO

Thank you for the suggestions. I am in the Air Force so I haven't had much of a chance to play recently. I have some time off coming so I will get to play. Thank you all for your suggestions. I have the fuel trouble shooting that Trickster sent me, thanks.
I have a couple of other suggestions to so we'll see. I'll let you all know. Thanks again.
