ALright, i have a 90 firebird, 305 TBI. I burn about 1-2 quarts of oil a week! But here's the thing. There are no visible signs of an oil leak on the block. Under the hood is clean, and undercarriage is not all messy. What is going on? ALso, the car has 160,000 miles on it. Is this normal for an engine with this kind of mileage. Is there anything i can do to solve this? I'm getting a new remanufactured 305 in may, should i just not worry about fixing it, and just keep pumping oil in it every week? Thanks guys.

yes, well not so much, you have excesive blow by which means your rings are like shot. so that oil passes the rings and gets burned. That much is however a problem. your engine is going to get carboned up and stuff.
