Ok after the 4th day in a row working my 12hour night shift (thank *** i only have 3 more days of it and those are 2 1/2 days away) i was driveing home in my RS and wondered suddenly, "Hey i wonder if you can bore out the water jackets like you can a cylinder?". Well i figure anything is possible, but can it be done with in reason or am i just asking too much? It wasn't for any particular reason, i have most of my cooling problems down and still need to throw the air dam on, but its just kind of one of those sleep deprived lines of thought that do make you wonder abit even after 10 hours of sleep.

No not really. There's no access, and they are irregularly shaped. But you could think of flush compounds as doing the same thing chemically. Like we used to say in the 60s... "better living through applied chemistry". :sillylol:

here's a thought: if you can extrude hone intake and exhaust manifolds, why not coolant passages? would it work? or even help?
