Power wire going to fuel pump relay getting no power.

Hey guys i did some testing and im not getting power to the power wire going into my fuel pump relay. I tested the ground and its fine.

No power when key is turned forward (first 2 seconds should prime) and no power when trying to crank.

I just did a motor swap and i must of damaged it or something?

Not sure how to fix this or where it runs. Could it be a blown fusbile link around the starter? I tested the ground by using the power wire from the engine fan and the ground from the fuel pump and i saw 12 volts, so im certain its the power wire.

Thanks,
Shane

p.s. i checked the 20 amp fuse on the passengers side, and it's not blow. I also verified power with the multimeter... no problems there.

From what you've described, it almost has to be a connection problem somewhere. The relay should be getting power directly from the 20A ECM/FP fuse near the battery. You are checking the relay at the 'D' terminal, right?

Yes i was checking the cable at the green/white for power. I also checked gray/white but i think thats ground. No power.

Should this cable have power anytime the key is in the on position, or only for the first two seconds and then the engine is running?

I would think it would have solid 12v, and the relay would control when it gets applied to the fuel pump. Either way it has solid nothing. I'm thinking about running a hot wire manually just to see what happens.

If this should be a direct wire from the 20am fuse, i must of crushed it with the engine or something... how odd.

that schematic is definitely wrong for my 92 tbi car.

Anyone have one that is correct?

Thanks,
Shane
