Is it wise to start my LO3 with the O2 sensor unplugged?

I ask because the back half is broken off, to fit a regular socket over it.
I have to go and get an extension from the parts store. I don't want to walk 5 miles. Help
Y pipe is cold now and I doubt the original O2 sensor will come out w/o the engine being hot.

Itll be fine if you just wish to start it, youll just get an eventual SES.

The short term danger is nonexsistent. It will run just like it does everytime you start it up. It just wont go into closed loop so if you drive it for a long time like that youll get a nice dent in your wallet from the increased fuel consumption.

Thanks gentlemen,
But I found an extension buried in the garage so I didn't have to walk or start it w/o O2 sens.
BTW. The factory sensor came out cold easy for an O2 w/ 150K.
This board has saved me thousands of dollars and thousands of hours.
