first off, yea, i did a search, but... trying to verify from experience if there will be a valve cover clearance issue with going to a 1.6 rocker on my L98. i want to keep the stock covers. some say you can, others say they'll hit. someone make up my mind, please.

solution:

put rockers on.

modify covers to fit.

the people that say "oh, they dont fit" didnt modify the covers.

the people that say "oh, they fit" either used smaller rockers, or they modified the cover.

Rockers that WILL work without cover modification: 1.6 stamped steel pieces.

Also, I have found that Harland Sharp aluminum roller rockers will often fit with maybe just the TINYEST bit of "clerancing" around the breather baffle box inside the cover. Crane Gold narrow rockers will fit too, but you'll pay a mint for them.
