Hey,
I will probably be rebuilding my engine on a budget soon and I need to know if this is worth it.
The problem is that I really can not afford forged pistons, and since I'm not really building this engine for power anyway, then its no big deal. However, I hope to be around the 250-300hp range. I can afford Hypereutectic pistons, or i can just rering the stock ones.. what do you guys think?
I hear a lot of bad things about Hypereutectic pistons, but over stock I'm sure they are better?

Hypers are just fine for your horsepower application. You didn't say anything about big NO2 or much boost so you have nothing to worry about. The bad things you heard are abused hypers that when they fail, they are catastrophic. I also believe the hypers are lighter, so that is a plus.
So yeah, get new hypers. They also don't expand as much so you can run a tighter clearance.

hypers are greast but most if not all require end gaps larger than stock, that is you need to file your rings to keep the ends from coming together and causing them to fail
