Ok i just got my first car (which is a 92 Camaro RS V6 3.1 L) a couple weeks ago. It was pulling left when i hit the brakes. So we bled the brakes and replaced the right caliper. It doesnt pull anymore. After we fixed it my mom drove it around the block and parked it. I went out there yesterday to start it up and it wont even turn over. All the lights turn on and the radio works so its not the battery. We tried tapping the starter. But it still wont turn over. My Dad thinks its the starter. But Ive heard it might have something to do with the vats. Please help me I have a driving test tuesday and i needa get it fixed ASAP.
we already tried jumping it with my bros 94 firebird. no luck

Do you hear a click when you turn the key? If not, suspect the starter solenoid. Also, watch your volts gauge, what is it with the key on? And what is it while holding the key as if you were cranking?
yeah i hear a click. volts like the battery voltage gauge? its 12 when i turn the key and 12 when i crank it

Now we know the starter isn't attempting to engage, if it was jammed/shorted the voltage would drop. Is the click a relay? or the starter solenoid? Have someone crank while you listen.
idk when i put the key in it buzzes like all chip keys do. then i turn it like im starting it and it clicks like it always has.
