This might be a dumb question, but I'm not so good with cars, so how hard is it to take the hood on my camaro off an put a cowl hood on?

Easy as long as you have 2 people. Remove the bar the hood latch attaches to and the secondary hood latch in the front of the hood first (its easier to do this when the hood is still on the car). From there get a person or two to help hold the hood and remove the two bolts on either side holding the hood to the hinges.
Installing a hood is the reverse operation. It'll take longer to put the new one on, the holes in the hinges are slotted and you'll have to make adjustments to get the hood perfectly centered and lined up with the front bumper.

So it isn't that hard?
4 bolts + the hood latch mechanism.
The hard part is getting the fiberglass to look/fit right, and that's best left to whoever you're gonna let paint it I would assume.
