Got my car from the shop today, took it for a drive. Now I'm hearing lifter tick. It's a rough, harsh tapping sound that intensifies with the engine. Hardly noticeable at idle, gets louder as you accelerate. This just simply from sitting too long? There a way to fix this? I'm reading up on it and something as simple as an oil change to synthetic can fix the issue? What else can cause lifter tick?
