my 40k 5.0 threw a code 32 and I had it tested on a computer it showed the egr was not working..

so I replaced it..but it still does the same(has low idle in drive) this is frustrating as I'm missing the great weather in England

The vacuum and hoses seem ok......so what shall I replace now ?

in what order ?

any help would be king ! as I'm a bit stuck -Ed-

What Year???
Did you buy a Negitive backpressure EGR that does not need backpressure to operate (this is signified by a "N" in the part number rather than a "p"

Possibly the EGR Vacuum Solenoid (if equipped). I've been chasing code 32 on and off for 4 years Just when I think I found the problem, that pesky light comes on again. I'm about to stop worrying about it. I'm getting 20 mpg highway. Can't complain about that, right?

this is the one that fits my '91
