There's a delinquent in town who has done a light restoration on an '85 or '86 IROC-Z....was white, now its yellow, 305 TPI with a bunch of bolt-ons, drives like an idiot, etc.

Anyways, 2 weeks in a row I have pulled up behind him at a light, and he has proceeded to lay a long, smoky strip to show off. Ooooh, impressive. Normally I ignore ignorance like this, but the fact he flipped me off while shooting rubber at my front end wasn't appreciated....

We got up to a 4 laner, I pulled in the left lane, and I smiled at him, downshifted to 3rd at about 35 MPH and proceeded to hand his *** to him through about 75 MPH...all this while never passing 4000 RPM. I pull up to the next light next to him, and he won't even look at me...

Maybe its the stripes that egg people on, but it seems like lately more and more complete jackasses are driving third gens. And people wonder why F bodies have such the rep of being a car owned by lowlifes...at least that's what I get in the Land of Hondas and Jettas...

I think i read that the camaro has the highest death rate of any car. Something like more deaths per capita. Anyway, the reason is not the car, it's the driver.

Kind of like the saying, "guns don't kill people, people do!"

haha, that quote just reminded me of Happy Gilmore and that giant guy. He wears that shirt that says "guns don't kill people, I do". I just had to say that.

Monkie, I know you too have a '97, and that you drive it quick. No arguments, but normally at 35 I'm in 4th...I like my car, I plan on having it for a LONG time, and therefore I drive it pretty damn easy...

I know '86 was the first year for the 3rd brake light. Despite the fact I have been behind him plenty of times, I still can't remember whether he has a damn light up there or not!
