This is kind of off topic, but please bear with me.

My brother's wedding was last Saturday. We stopped to pick up the flowers and when we went to head to the hall, the limo wouldn't come out of park. Imagine five guys in tuxes pulling a limo up an incline to relieve the tension in the tranny. Naturally that didn't work. This gentleman in a pickup stopped to help out. He's a mechanic, and after a couple of quick phone calls he figured out how to get it into drive and got us on our way. Without him the day could've been a disaster.

All we know is the license plate of his truck. Now, how do I find the owner? We'd love to thank him properly, at the very least buy him a beer. Any suggestions?

I'm susr eyou could go to the ministry, ask them to check it out, right...? I mean, if cops can do it, the info is at least out there...?

MTO does not have telephone #s, neither do cops.

The only thing their computers will tell you is the name of the person, and their address.

I don't really know what resources are at their disposal, but I can tell you that I have received phone calls from the police after my plates were called in by old people.
