TBI to TPI, this has probably been asked many times...

...I know this question has probably been asked many times before. But, theoretically, if you have a 305 TBI and have the TPI setup including the computer, you can change it over correct? I am thinking about buying my friends 91 RS but it is a TBI and I really would prefer to have a TPI. Thanks for any help you all can offer!

Honestly you're better off just buying a TPI car to start with. The work involved just to swap to TPI is probably more than enough, but then you're still stuck with a comple dud of a shortblock. You'd be further ahead doing a V8 swap into your bird.

I'll second that.....the swap is a PITA.....I've swapped in a 350 for my 305, TPI for my TBI, a posi for my peg legger.....if i could do it all over again, I'd have just bought an IROC.
