I was told that the LT1 Throttle body will work on the L98 motor. Well the IAC housing is different, but looks like the bolts are in the same place. So a swap on the housing may fix that problem. Considering the L98 IAC screws in and the LT1 is bolted in.
Now onto the TPS sensor they mount up completely different. Also the harlness is round on the LT1 and rectangular on the L98. Can a repair harness be purchased and exchanged for the stock L98 harness conector and the LT1 TPS sensor be used then?
This really sux because it was a good deal on this TB and its already cleaned and ready to go.
Another thing would be for me to fix my problem I have with my stock TB by changing the guide for the accel cable. Mine is plastic and its worn and keeps cutting the cable. How exactly do you pull the shaft out? is it pressed in or bolted on under the TPS?

The LT1 TPS and IAC sensors are compatible with the TPI ECM. I have used a TPI ECM with a RamJet engine...same IAC and TPS sensors as the LT1.

I just happen to be running a TPI intake with a LT1 throttle body, being run by a Vortec PCM. 305 TPI/4L60E combo.
The TPS/IAC have different pins, but the harness can be re-pigtailed to work.

So if I am understanding correctly. The LT1 TB and the 4th gen IAC and TPS sensors will work with the stock Intake and ECM you just have to change pigtails? What about changing out the IAC casing? They look like all the bolt holes are the same just a mater if it is designed the same under it on the TB itself. This way the only connector that has to be changed would be the TPS.

So are you saying you used the L98 IAC housing on the LT1 TB? I just need clarification on all this wether or not I need to list up this LT1 TB I bought if its going to cost me more to swap everything out. All I bought it for was so I had the steel guide for the accel cable. Mine is plastic worn out and eating cables one every 3 months and at 30 bucks a pop and 3 days to get it here that blows.Originally Posted by Fast355

I used the LT1 IAC as it had the same connections as my Harness. I used the LT1 TPS as well. I bolted the LT1 throttle body onto the front of the TPI plenum and went on.

I'm using a BBK that is for the LT1.
The wiring is a bit different on the pinouts so check it carefully.
I bought the pigtails and wired them into my existing harness although I wish now I would have made them convertible so I could use either style in the future.
The LT1 TPS has given me a bit of a problem with not being able to adjust below 0.75 V even with the mechanical all the way closed.
Might want to bench check it before going in too deep to see if you have any issues there.
I can proably dig up the connector info from my notes if you need. I don't have them unburied right now. I wanted to confirm them to the diagrams to be sure they are correct.
The pinouts I show are from a 730 ECM so you'll need to verify them against yours.
I also cut off the coolant lines to the TB. Didn't need hot water in there and made the clearance I needed.

The LT1 TPS pigtail part number is AC/Delco #PT1825 or GM#88988301.
