i was curious as to which intake would be better

HSR

vs

fully Ported siamesed plenum that accepts a 58mm TB
stock throttlebody with slp airfoil
fully ported and siamesed slp runners
ported edlebrock intake
Adjustable fuel regulator
slp cold air intake

which one of these would make more horsepower...... this would be on a l98 engine of course with a crane 2032 cam....

Look at the post in the TPI board "Our quest for a better flowing TPI." That'll give you my results with a fully welded and ported TPI intake and siamesed SLP runners. You'll have to search for results from HSR setups.

Re: hsr vs fully modded TPI...which is better
its hard to say yet, but i'm leaning towards the HSR cuz of its short straight runners compared to the siamesed curved runners that can approach similar lengths to the HSR

I've seen alot of HSR combos pulling well over 6000 rpms and i havent seen a TPI result yet that makes peak above 6000 rpms.

I'm awaiting one members custom grind dyno results to see where his car will peak. Has made some very impressive numbers by 5000 rpms with a smaller cam, but developed some valvetrain problems. SO with a bigger cam, better springs, i'm hoping it can match the HSR's rev range. that be awesome since there are NO intakes that are emissions legal that can rev beyond 5500-5800 rpms. Superam is the other alternative but still has some problems getting above 5500.

In my opinion and from what i have researched here; it fully depends on what you are going to be doing with the car. if you want a fun street ride with more low end torque and a power curve in the lower rpm ranges, go with the TPI setup. if you are going to be dragging frequently and actually going to be seeing those high rpm numbers, then go with hsr.
