Hey guys, I've owned a V6 third gen for a few years now, and finally found a nice '91 z28, well more like I finally found a job that'll allow me to buy a toy/DD haha, but I've gotta say I'm not too knowledgeable on the 350. I know the 3.1 v6 back to front, top to bottom (most of it not by choice, live and learn buying a car from a backyard mechanic) but I don't want to go in flying blind, as it were, when I go to check this car out.

So here's the deal, it's a '91, 165k miles, rebuild on the enging/transmission about 35k miles ago (buying from a dealership, they have records) interior is amazingly clean, power everything, but I'd just like to know if there are any specific things I should look for related to the engine while I'm test driving it. Any noises that TPI 350's are known to make signaling big problems, things like that, any specific spots I should look at, etc.

Like I said, I know the V6 very well, and I'm sure most things to look out for in general when buying a used car are pretty much across the board similar, but if there are any specifics, I'd really appreciate some help.

I appreciate the help guys, can't wait to get behind an L98, the last V8 car I owned was a 305 monte carlo SS, and it's been way too long since I've heard the rumble and felt it moving like a V6 can't.

Re: What to look out for?
So, nothing specific to TPI 350's? Just the usual?
