If converting to TPI from carb, will I need the original TPI tank with pump or will my tank work with a new pump? I thought I read somewhere that the EFI tanks had some sort of baffling in them.

I could be wrong but I think the newer ones had the baffle, but you may need to change the in tank pick up assy, or maybe use an inline pump

just put an inline pump in, and rewire to pump

Re: Fuel tank question
To use the inline pump I would keep the stock pump in the tank? If so, then the inline pump would pull through the stock one?

Re: Fuel tank question
Just get the the GM electric pump assembly and put in you stock tank. The plug is already attached to the body. Pull out the rear seat and carpet. You will find the back of the plug with the wires already connected. Make sure one of those wires is going to the fuel pump relay. Most inline pumps are loud.

You'll want to pull the stock FI pump, to get any good fuel flow to the new carb pump.
