I'm in the process of buying fuel injectors and read up on the Ford Racing Injectors everyone was talking about. I looked them up in Summit and the product # is FMS-M9593A302* for the 24 lb/hr. I was just wondering if these are the same ones that are mentioned all over this board. It also states at the bottom that *I]Must be used with recalibrated Hi-Flo Mass Air Sensors only.[/I] Is this a just a Ford thing? I'm running Hooker Comp Headers and a FlowMaster Catback Exhaust system, should i be O.K.???

Yea, thats a Ford thing. You will at the very least need an AFPR or better yet, have the chip reprogrammed for the change in injector size. Theres a 2 lb/hr increase plus the difference in the ratings used by GM and Ford which adds another 2 lb/hr. Thats a very significant change in fuel flow and you would need to address it somehow. Thats assuming you have a 350 with 22lb injectors anyway.

Yea, my TPI system was off of my old 86 305 TPI. So when we built my 383 we got a computer from and 87 350 and the stock chip. The injectors are 19lb/hr. I'm planning on getting a Holley AFPR but i'm not sure what to do about the chip. Should i go and buy like a Hypertech stage II chip, or just have someone reprogram the stock one. If the stock chip can be reprogramed, who can do it and how much does it usually cost.

Thanks alot
