asked this same question on the electronics board, but am getting no reply, maybe you guys are more knowledgeable. Here's the Q. What would cause my TCC to not manually lock up when connecting pins A & F (top left, top rigth) in my firebird? tried a switch, nothing, tried crossing terminals, nothing.....what're the possibilities that would cause my TCC to not lockup, even when i'm manually engaging it. Thanks in advance.

Went through the electronics board and didn't see your post on this subject. However, if you will go to this link you will find some information concerning what you are talking about.

Thanks trickster, just incase you look at this again let me get this right. The Tan/Black wire from the ALDL port that goes itno the computer and also to the Torque Convertoer Clutch isn't relying on the computer to lock the convertor? That's the way i understood the schematic, they should operate togheter however can operate independently of one another. I need to go check and see if i'm getting power at the TCC termianl at F, and see if my brake switch is working too. If i'm getting no power at F, i'll assume that i might have faulty wires under the car, however...if i'm not getting power, could my TCC switch be bad also? I no i'm not getting locking right now because my VSS isn't hooked up (dash swap) but i'd like to find out why it's not locking in the 1st place.
