yet again - i am back - i little more than 2 weeks. I had just posted about my rear end i just blew out - well guess what?? i blew this one out too. I swapped it out for a nice tight 9 bolt and i am already grinding it to hell. everytime i get on it, one tire goes full - the other grinds to ****. last time this happened my spyder gear snapped and i had metal in my rear end that just was amazing to look at.
Anyways, im sick of this. I was told that i could go with a ford 9"rear end with some custom mounting and that would work. Now i am fully aware that i lose my rear disc brakes (willing to sacrafice that for a working rear end) I really dont care at this point. finding a ausi 9 bolt with low miles is hard to find and rebuilding one just is impossible aka to time consuming for a weak rear end. should i look for a posi 10 bolt drum rear end out of the iroc - z28 ???? Should i go with he ford 9" (not willing to do right now) or should i keep throwing in a high miles 9 bolt rear end??? I did find a rear drum 10 bolt that got converted to a posi unit (swapped carrier) for 100 dollars. any suggestions on a fix?? also how do i tell if this rear end is tight before i buy it and with it not in a car???

so you bought a used rear and are mad that it needs a repair?
are you trying to say the posi is loose (spinning one wheel?)
why is this a hard fix? there is a very good artical on how to fix it and you can still buy the cones if they are needed. I think they are only 100.00
if you can find a lath to use and some shims or just get the cones then you can fix the posi in a matter of a few hours.
it is really that simple
so what I would do is stop beating on it untill you
A. fix it
or
B. get a replacment
