I just pulled the weak 305 tpi out of my z and dropped in a carberated 383 and got it runnin sweet with open headers sounds awsome but back to the point. I decided to use the stock 700r4 for a while but now when I shift it into any gear it acts like its in neutral whats wrong? Please help

I had the same problem when I put in a 383 and used the stock 700 r4... first i burnt out the front pump. That meant I had no fluid to turn the gears. Then I stripped out first and second gear so the car wouldn't move in those two..... Sounds like you might have a bad pump.

didnt it grind or anything when it stripped out the gears? I never heard it grind at all.
