i finally got all my parts and painted them all. so i spent the better part of yesterday getting everything ready and i bolted it right up. i just have to install my torque arm then measure for a new driveshaft, then im back in action. it is a currie housing with currie 31 spline axles, a johns industries 3rd member. the 3rd member has a detroit tru trac with 411 gears. i cant wait to get this thing back on the road.

Nice Are those the explorer brakes? Why the new driveshaft, upgrading? All I needed for mine was a u-joint, the length was fine.

the stock driveshaft is abou 2 1/2 inches to short. plus i want to upgrade so i dont have to worry about braking it. the only problem im having with the currie housing is were the torque arm mount, mounts to the housing. the jig they used must have been off alittle. the wont go all the way in. they get cocked. im going to have to find a way around this.

the third member was $850.

and yes they are explorer brakes

A big hammer will fix it One of the two big bolts on the torque arm mount to the torque arm was tweaked a little on mine. Got the bolt through with some help.
