I got this in a reply, from an ECM place, concerning using a LS1 ECM on a TPI, when I was asking about keeping my 700R4...
"The LS1 PCM can not control lockup or the 700R4. The 700R4 can still be used
with an aftermarket lockup kit. If your project budget allows for a 4L60E,
that would be a great way to go.
If your lockup is not controlled by the ECM (all cars came from the factory
with ECM control of lockup), then the LS1 PCM harness would simply exclude
transmission wiring."
