How do I know if my torque converter is going out?

I have a feeling it's kinda being ****ty, how can you tell for sure if it's going out?

White '92 Firebird w/ 305 TBI. Open element w/ non drop base, increased fuel pressure, TBI spacer, Hedman Hedders & y-pipe, no cat, cat-back exhaust

Mine started pouring fluid out of it, but that's pretty darn rare, chalk one up to B&M. Usually you can tell because it feels like the tranny is slipping in all gears including reverse by about the same amount. Normally if it were the tranny it would feel different in different gears.

I new some one that had a cracked seem on his converter too! I still can't belive it but, he had it welded not once not twice not even three he had the thing welded at least 5 times before he listened to me and bought a new one. I don't know who was worse him or the shop that he had weld it.
