i cant find what size carrier or spline i have to get a posi unit. i has number 2252676 on it but cant find anything on that number. anybody have any info on this rear? its an 84 z28

Providing it's still original, your 84 will have a 7.5" carrier for 26 spline axles. A 7.5/7.625" posi for 26 spline axles will be a direct bolt in. You just need to make sure it's the proper series for the gear ratio you want to use.

You can buy a 28 spline posi and upgrade your axles to 28 spline at the same time.

how do i know what series it is? i wanna run either 3.73 or 4.10 gears

3.73 or 4.10 will need a 3 series carrier unless you buy a thick gear set designed for a 2 series carrier. If you're ordering the posi at the same time as the gears then just buy them in the 3 series.
