hey
I have an 86 Iroc-Z 305 tpi with a 700r4 tranny. The problem is that the car won't go any faster then 110 mph. Sombody has told me i can put an "on" "off" switch on the vss to dissable it when i need to go faster. Sucks when those rustangs fly by because they don't have the limitation i do. some have said there are three wires on the vss and some say there are 2. What wire do I have to put the switch on? And will this hurt the car if i run it with the switch off?
Any help would be great

to the best of my knowledge, I dont think that it would be the greatest idea to put a "switch" into your VSS. VSS controls torque converter lock up, which happens at highway speeds to save gas mileage and transmission wear. without an operatable VSS your torque converter will not lock up, and may get you no faster than you can already go. I'm sure there are other alternatives, but I'm sure lots of people would have done it to save racking up mileage on their cars as well! please correct me if im wrong.
