ive been tryin to decide on an exhaust setup for my 2.8 v6. one option i thought wasto do a str8 dual pipe setup, any1 ever do this before on this motor? does it sound ok? thanks

I would tend to think it would sound kinda like a really loud fart.

But I've never really heard it so I dunno.

If it hasn't even been done to a v8, it's probably pointless to do it for a v6.

Did it on my brother's fullsize truck. It has a 4.3 liter V6. He put straight dual pipes from the cat back. It sounded pretty good, actually. The catalytic converter acts as a sound deadner/resonator a lot more than most people think it would. We then gutted the cat and stuck it back on there, and it was awful! It was hideously loud, so much so that it would give you a headache if you drove it for too long a time. We went back and added a flowmaster muffler to it, and now it sounds about like it did when it had the straight pipes and the cat.
