OK like a lot of people out there I have had a stalling problem.. And reading the Scan tool I had changed a bunch of sensors.. Well the other day I was messing around with the TB and decide to pull the IAC and see how it worked.. ( Couldnt tell if it was working or not ) So I puul it and start the car.. well it moved a little.. So I at the time decides it must be working and shut down the car.. And blame.. it spit the pentil right out.. I was so mad at myself.. But I went out and got a new one.. and guess what.. The stalling has stoped and it idals great now .. So I took the old IAC and cut it in half. and guess what I found out.. there was carbon build up stoping the pental from traveling all the way back.. So here was a IAC the appiered to work and could do it right becouse the thing was full of carbon..

So the story is that just becouse the scan tool say its working dont assume that the ECM know what really going on..

Thats cool...glad to hear that.I purchased a Wells brand IAC through Auto Zone and I had problems after problems. One day I was visiting some relatives and my engine light came on... check the codes and the IAC code came up and I pulled the IAC and the damn pindle screwed off the shaft and stuck in the throttle opening. What the *** ,I got lucky and its was still under warranty by one day.I purchased a AC delco and will never go with aftermarket junk again.
