Hey Guys,
I am looking into boring the engine within limits, but I do not know the wrist pin size for the connecting rod.
Also, does somebody know the stock connecting rod length?

What does writs pin size have to do with boring an engine? :-?

The stock length is 5.7" long for the genI 2.8/3.1.

Wrist pin size is .780" IIRC.

I can purchase many different fractional sizes of a piston diameter that are not standard to the Chevy engine; especially when searching for a forged piston. The true search was for me to find the wrist pin size so I can order the correct one to fit the connecting rod.

Ahh, You can order Forged pistons for the 2.8 through Speed Pro.

I've looked at other pistons, MANY other pistons, and have not found one combination that would work without a custom rod for wrist pin size, or bushing for the small end of the rod, or shorter/longer rod.
