So I have a 2.8 berlinetta and all my electrical in my column is junk. So instead of replacing all the stuff I just want to remove the ignition completely. As in I just want to set up a push button start and remove the ignition entirely. Have a switch for the keys on position and stuff. So are there any walk throughs on this or an somone shed some light on the subject. Or if no one want to tell me how perhaps have a wiring diagram for all the stuff. Thanks a bunch guys.

Re: Removing Ignition?
If all of the electrical parts in the column are junk, it would probably be easier to replace the entire column assembly. Either that, or just drop it, pull 2 bolts and a screw, and replace the switch and save yourself hours trying to rewire everything.

Anyways, you can wire up switches to replace the ignition switch, but keep in mind this might not be entirely legal. You would need to wire a switch off of a maxi fuse or something to the pink wire on the ignition coil. That will take care of the ignition part. Then you have to deal with the fuel control and other things if you want to completely remove the switch.

Re: Removing Ignition?
Out of curiosity why wouldn't it be legal? Also do you know of anyone who has done the switch conversion?
