Hi everyone.
I just got myself an '86 Camaro 2.8L Multi-Port Fuel Injection.
It has factory everything.. My friend has a '74 Chevy Nova - V8 : 350, I was wondering if i have a chance of keeping up at all. Probably not, but my other friend has a '90 Chev Cavalier V6 3.2L and he's barely able to keep up.. He's got factory everything too. So is there a way to keep up with him?
Just want to see what it's like to get a response on this Board. I just joined.

D@mn, you can beat one of those Cavalier 6's? My manager at work has a 92 3.1 and I can get him till about 50, then he flys bye. Doubt ANY chance w/ the 350, less it's ragged and runnin on 6 cylinders OR his tranny's just REALLY REALLY shot, and he has 3 dead bodies in the trunk.

Welcome ot the board. You're in the right place to learn about speed for a V6. Check out the group purchase below, good for at least 5-10 rice-power.
Anyway, I nailed an old 350 chevelle with true dual exhaust once. Two lights in a row. It was a good run, but I think his carb wasn't tuned properly, so try it and see what happens.

You'll be surprised what these little engines can do.
NO, you will not beat the Nova.
But, be safe trying.
Nova may have the same engine I have in my 1974 Corvette. Sorry, even my Corvette at 135,000 original miles is still rather quick. I do not street race the Corvette. I've already won the prize (the Corvette) and the Trophy Girl (my Wife!).
Sorry, but, I did so like the phrase, "A Chevelle with true dual exhausts".
Growing up in the 60's & 70's, that all I ever knew. My 1974 Corvette is the LAST true factory dual exhaust car. Also last year for 454 in a Corvette & last year for points. I still have the points in my Corvette, too. It's original, even to the rear bumper caps (dated 8/13 & 8/17). It's written on the inside. Yes, I have a VERY early 1974 model year Corvette.
Does the Nova guy want to sell his disc brake set up cheap?
