Re: Beemer Teaser
Those look really good. Are the bolt patterns the same, or did you have to modify them?

No modifications

BMW bolt pattern 120mm x 5

GM bolt pattern 120.65mm x 5

Some people dont like the idea, others run them for years with no issues.

Re: Beemer Teaser
They arent the same unless he modified them but they will fit. It is not advised to use them as is because the pattern isnt the exact same and could lead to major problems like wheels coming off. Like the OP said, there are sides to the subject.

Heres a good thread on the subject where someone modified their wheels.

Factory tolerances are higher than what is needed to get these to fit. I personally dont see it necessary to modify the wheels, i took the car out after installing them, reached 140 mph, pulled over and checked TQ specs on the lugs and there was no change. This was also after driving the car on Bad pot holed roads to get to the highway 12 miles away.

i regularly check the lugs once a week anyway, ive never had one come loose and i do not use a torque stick, hand tight then 2 quick zips with the impact, 12 years, same way, never lost a wheel.

Re: Beemer Teaser
Im not saying it wont work, just that the wheels werent designed for that car and could possibly cause problems down the line.

i know your not, becuase i am driving on them, i just think 2 or 3 posts have been made already in this thread about fitment and that should be enough, anymore is clutter, there are other threads on the fitment subject.

Will post more pics soon as i dont like the lighting from last night.

Re: Beemer Teaser
Its kind of something you have to roll with in this case. Regardless of whether or not you want posts in the thread about proper fitment, its going to happen.

I just bought the same wheels! Got them yesterday. Are yours the 18" staggered setup? What size tires are you running? I posted a pic in the "show me your aftermarket wheels" thread, page 3.

These are factory 19x10 rears 19x9.5 fronts, rears have 275/30/19's and fronts have 255/35/19's. I may move up to a 315/40/19 in the rear when I find a gold bar on the ground somewhere.

Re: Beemer Teaser
wheels look good! Any idea what they weight? I looked them up and could not find that bit of info. I kinda like them.

And just to clarify this bit of what looks to be misinformation, factory tolerences are much much tighter than .0225" which is the difference in pattern between 5x120 and 5x120.65. Compared to a factory tolerance of a couple thousandths or less, thats MASSIVE. The cheap Chinese knock off wheels have tighter tolerances than that.

Re: Beemer Teaser (Visual Mock Up BMW Wheels) M359 Series
I got the 18x8.5 fronts and the shipping weight was 58lbs for the pair. The rear 18x9.5's were 63lbs. This included the boxes and packing materials.
