I say high 14's low 15's. Get a $70 pulley and gain a extra 30 HP.!
My friends got a 96 Grand Prix, and dropped a GTP engine in it. Pretty intense motor!

13.9 stock???? That is a freak. I think mid to high 14's from a normal one. But that car definitely has potential. I know there are guys out there running more boost, bolt ons, stall, and sticky tires and breaking into the 12's. But these cars are built for racing so don't take stock cv axles and try launching at 4 grand, or you will have problems...
And I have to say that those are some of the best cars that GM makes. The Series 2 3800 engine makes something like 205 hp and with the supercharger 240 hp. It gets good gas mileage and judging from the two Oldsmobiles that my parents have had with the N/A 3.8 I would say they are very reliable, even with me and my brothers abusing them. The supercharged one is probably just as reliable since they use the roots type Eaton charger like the ones on Lightnings and Jaguars.

13.9?!?! dont you mean 14.9? no GTP is going to break 13s bone stock. high 14s are good numbers from these cars. hp is in the 240 range, and expect 280 ftlbs of torque.
My wife drove a 97 until she totaled it. It will go high 14's with good hook, but most likely low 15's. The Alternators are junk on the cars, it went out at like 37000 miles, she then got an SE model and then ALT went out on that one at like 60000 miles. The gas mileage I thought kinda sucked, especially if you do a lot of city driving. It would only average around 21-22 with a lot of highway driving, and would get down to 13-14 in the city according to the computer display. They do make a lot of High performance parts, the trans is the real weak spot once you start hitting the 13's.
Hope this helps

Those GTP's are no joke, i was considering to buy one. Its a nice size car w/ a lot of room, yet has enough power to beat a lot of cars its class. In a GM High Tech Performance mag, there was a guy who has a 97 GTP, w/ pullies, ram air, borla exhuast, and a 100HP shot of nitrous, and he did mid 12's easy. Hope this helps!

Well I doubt Jasper is lying, he has no reason to and he seems to know his friend pretty well.
It does seem far fetched but believe what you want. I cannot say its 100% true because I never seen it in person.
i watched a 4 door BONE STOCK gtp run a 14.9 , and there is a guy on nethirdgen who has a bone stock 2 door gtp that is in the low 14s right now . with some free mods , i dont see 13s being a problem
The fastest GTP Ive seen ran consistant 13.7's. It was a '00 with exhaust, intake, pulley, computer mods, and D/R's on the front. Most of the stock ones Ive seen run around 14.6-15.5. Im not saying its impossible to run a 13.9 stock, but every single GTP Ive seen has needed mods to get there. By the way there was a GTP club at my local track last time I went.
They are very nice cars. Comfortable, quick, and you can drive them all year round with no headache. The first time you mash the gas with the wheel slightly turned is kind of an experience...it really makes you appreciate rear wheel drive.

Sorry Boys no BS, obviously i cant convince all of you that this thing did run a 13.9 bone stock but o well. I know i was there when it happened, i know it was bone stock (then) and i know it scared the crap out of alot of f-body owners at the track!!
Im not sure about 13.9 stock but.......
