Energy Suspension tranny mount issues...

Has any one had any problems fitting the bolt through the crossmember to bolt into the middle of the tranny mount? I tried a few times and even tried some different bolts but it still wouldn't go through without rubbing against the crossmember guide and stripping the bolt threads.

Did anyone have to widen the hole a little bit to allow the bolt to freely pass through? I ended up putting the stock mount back on because i couldn't fit the E.S mount in there. I got it bolted to the tranny just fine, and the cross member would bolt right in too, but the bolt that connects the crossmember to the tranny mount wouldn't go through the crossmember, the threads were too wide.

Try unbolting the cross member ( with the tranny on a jack stand or something). Then put you middle bolt on loosly. Then start the crossmember bolts. That should make it easier. Good luck-Jeff

I tried that the first time figuring I could adjust it and bolt it in. But yeah, it wouldn't fit. I hope I didn't ruin the threads in the tranny mount. Its being a pita, and I was running out of daylight. I'll probably give it a shot tuesday morning or something like that. I can't get on the gas at all for fear of damaging stuff.

Tranny mount

Hey fruit I installed a poly mount for my tranny as well..I encountered quite a bit of vibration..enough I went back to the original rubber mount. I went to napa to pickup a mount but the piece they gave me was of very poor quality. I went to my local chevy dealer and picked one up..roughly 30 bucks?? No vibrations and im a happy man. lata
