Yeah, so it's not an original line..

I just finished up a 1/24 model of my T/A, Right down to the license plates and the B&M Megashifter. What do you think?

(Yeah, it's geeky to spend that much time on a model car, but it's winter, and it's too cold to work on the big one)

Okay, so I cheated there. I used 5-hole Konig (sp?) wheels on the model, because I couldn't find any decent looking 8-hole rims like the big car.

also where did u get ur model? i want see pics of your model as well. interior shots..

 

where did you get the hood to do that .

 

How'd you do the hood?

I tried that last year and it was a disaster. lol I suck at model

 

Thanks, guys, the car actually came from two kits, a '90 GTA Notch-back that was pretty well trashed, got me all of the GFX, wing, bumpers and chassis/interior, the rest of the body was reworked from a '92 'Pro-Street' Firebird. I found the GTA at a swap meet, the '92 came from my Hobby Shop.

The hood? A cut-up Powerbulge hood, some sheet plastic, and lots of filling and sanding.

The picture of the Tow Truck pullin the donor car had me crackin up too.

 

He fabbed it up mostly, like the hood an stuff

I had an 82 camaro model, detailed every peice, then painted it, set it outside to dry and it blew away when i found it there was grass an dirt all of it, and the paint was dry. Thats the last model i ever attempted

 

I have a pretty sweet Camaro, but I want one like that. Screw the fabbing, I just want to know where he got the actual model from..

 

Goto PM hobby....they have a wall of cars, its so cool....you walk in and its like..... **angel music** waahhh** so many lol....get the picture, I wouldnt mind finding another camaro oneday

I see a Deans Ultra plug, front tie rod ends,rubber tires and rims like a old nitro rs4 I had. A fan. etc..

something I thought about doing to one I had.

I know nothing about the camaro one except that it is 1/8 on a touring chassis... I stole the picture from a rc site.. but im sure tpi summed it up pretty good

that is so awesome! I'm really impressed with how you fabricated the Ram Air hood. Now you have to make little t-tops for it. hehe

 

Look on ebay, they're all over there. I've bought close to 20 in the past year or so. The monogram '88 T/A's are the rarest, you're gonna pay more for them. The AMT/Ertl '92's are everywhere and the formulas and Ertl T/A's are easy to find. Expect to pay $8-$35 for them. The 1/8 IROC's come up every now and then. The original one from '87 will bring close to $200, but the later version offered again in the late '90's (98-99) goes for about $100. I picked up a parts lot of 1/8 IROC's for $40, but I still need quite a few pieces to make a complete kit.

 

Looks great, I should build a mini thirdgen of every one of my ideas I have for them, then again I'd need a warehouse for that.

sweet job man! i made a model of a 69 z28 about a month ago and it turned out pretty good but i would have preferred an 82 Trans Am or KITT cause that is the only one they sell of the early firebirds-with a different front bumper of course.

Read the post and you'll see that he got the kits from a swap meet and his local hobby shop. He made the hood himself. The kits are hard to find, but they're out there.

i got my wheels from a 64 gto and i got the hood scoop from a 35th camaro ss.i don`t really like how the hood came out but it`s the best i could do with what i had.the gold part on the wheels i colored in with a gold flake marker.
