Spongy Brakes with all new parts!
Spongy Brakes with all new parts!
My brakes suck. They are spongy, and don't grip quite right. I have changed the following:
Front Calipers
Front Rotors
Front Pads
Rear Pads
New Stainless Lines (front + middle back one)
The brakes feel spongy as hell. The pedal sinks about 1/3 of the way and makes a kind of hissing noise when it is going down before it starts braking. It stops, but the pedal is too soft and i thought with all that new stuff it would brake pretty decently. I just bled them (back to front) and didn't see any air in the system. What is it.. i just want "decent" braking, and now it's just plain dangerous.. any suggestions? Brake booster? Master cylinder?

the hissing sound , usually ends up being a blown booster .. but .. that would make the pedal hard :\ I'd try bleeding them again ..if you didn't see any air ..there's something wrong as you opened the system !!! there should have been a bunch of air .. poor brake grip can be caused by not "bedding" the pads too ..
