I am looking for a 85-92 V8 TBI / TPI Camaro for $3000 & under. Clean inside and out besides normal wear and tear. Prefer less than 200,000 miles, no red interior. Must be a strong runner with no major mechanical problems. Just looking for a summer car to cruise in. Email is Meier23@firehousemail.com

Car: 89 Formula L98 power
Engine: '96 subaru, opposed 4banger
Transmission: TH700R4, subaru 4WD
Axle/Gears: 3.27, just works
myne has a pretty good body, and runs great, higher mileage, with the right parts, fresh front end after an accident, manual steering gear, manual column, heat only runs 13's, 5.7 tpi, 9 bolt 3.27's rear, 2K$, or so the way it is, needs some interior work, and finished body, also has good floor pans, t tops, don't leak. Its a good 87 iroc to be turned into a drag car.
Red interior, but I could work something out, and the car would be less, so you could upgrade the interior, car runs very strong, gets 24 mpg, 155K, no leaks, doesn't blow oil, or leak down b4 startup, trans is good, rear end is good, great car.

This is what the car looked like with the formula rims all around, and the old nose, now it has a perfect set of fenders, hood with one dent, thanks to hail and a perfect nose off a 86 berlinetta, I was going for a more oldschool appearance, to pay more of an homage to the old school look, while leaving the rest of the ground effects. I ran a 13.88 my first run tonight leaving at 1300 with eagle gsc's, cut a 2.0 60ft thanks to humidity, at 99.06 mph, second run went to a 14.0 same 60 at 97, and third run 14.8 at 79.
You want to know why it was that slow, here was that run. I removed the vacuum line to the pressure regulator to cut a better 60ft time, brought the eagle gsc's down to 24 psi, 26 were for the first two runs, backed into the water box, came out, did my burnout till I had two billowing clouds of smoke, about 3 seconds. Brought the car up against a '70 malibu with a built smallblock, previously running 13.5's all day. But I went against him, launched at 1400, thanks to the lakewood control arms and panhard bar I slaved the last two days putting in, thanks to stupid ceased up bolts in the sleeves, of the bushings.
So the car was running great, I launched car came out like a mother, spun into second like usual, but the run was feeling better, but I had the problem of shifting before I got to the 1/8 mile. I had 7 or 8 cars on the malibu already and I couldn't see him in my rear view or side mirrors so maybe more and when no third came I let off to see if it would shift, then hit it again and it still didn't shift so I left off to 4400 and hit the lights and ran a 14.86 at 78 mph. So I will investigate the trans issue tomorrow, but the car is still for sale now for 2 still, but with the rear suspension now, b/c the trans as a core is worth 200-250$. But anyone thats interested let me know. I'll put up some pictures tomorrow with the front end.

sorry, It also has a new autozone, lifetime replacement radiator as a new addition, it will also come with the compressor, lines, brackets, the old p/s pump and gear, I will put the original intake base back on it, everything else will stay with the car, besides my formula rims, I will get a replacement iroc rim, I already have one. The steering column is also a manual column and grant wheel, firebird shift handle, and a few other things around here I've yet to put in.
