TH350 squirting fluid out of dipstick prob.

Ok, one day a few weeks ago I start my car and tranny fluid squirts out of my dipstick onto my headers. Can you say smoke show? So the other day I was setting my timing and wanted to see the total advance and it does it again. So today I drain out about a quart. I warm the car up, drive it around and check the level. It's just in the crosshatch area and says to add a quart. I don't think so. So I'm driving around and have to stop kinda quick for a light, and it blows out from the dipstick again. This is after I drained a quart out of it and it had never done that before I drained it when it was fuller. So I take it out on the freeway to beat on it cause I'm starting to get pissed, and I needed some coffee. Same thing, come to a stop on the off ramp and the smoke show begins. Everyone is looking at me like I'm an azzhole, but anyways. Why would this keep happening? Pump maybe? Filter? Thanks.

There should be an o-ring type thing at the top of the dipstick, so it'll seal onto the dipstick tube. Make sure that o-ring is still there and isn't all mangled or anything. That'd be a good place to start looking.

Is the fluid normally forced up the tube? It never did it before.
And the rubber O ring could be better. But still, it never use to do it.

About a year ago I had it rebuilt. My car is now undrivable. Fluid just pours out of the tube and onto the headers. Usually when I come to a stop. I was at McDonalds drive thru and had a nice big smoke show. It must be something serious. Looks like I'm gonna have to pull the tranny. But I have no idea what I'm looking for. Hopefully someone can tell me where to start looking. Thanks all.

Problem solved. I had the breather hole plugged with a bolt cause it was leaking out when I was moving to storage and I forgot to unplug it and put the breather back in. OOOOOPS:lala:
