I think it might be an idea for the crew to attend memorial services for Thanos or if that is not possible, to have a Crew BBQ/Memorial of our own, as a tribute to him

Let me just say THAT SUCKS HIND TIT. While he didn't post much he was still active and was just beginning to get really involved with gatherings and such. I works wrecks all the time as a tow truck driver and I have only seen worse remnants of a car once. While I'm saddened by the loss of a crew member I'm truley glad he was taken instantly and didn't suffer.

We should all raise a glass now in remembrance as we shall do at our next full gathering.

CHEERS Thanos, you will be missed and remembered.

-Mike

That's insane! He just got his car to B.C. if I remember correctly. That's sad to hear. DO they know for sure if alcohol was a factor or not? Thanks Mike for showing me this link. That is a very sad thing indeed..

Edit:

I actually have no idea what to say, I"m at a loss for words I just can't believe it. Someone who was just posting about wanting to meet is gone all in the blink of an eye... 3 lives vanished... I dunno what to say... I'm going to go now....

I can't believe not a single thing has been said for the other two lives he took....

I needed to mention it.. Because they aren't board members or in any special club those two lives dont need to be ignored.

While I'm not going to get into who took what I will say that they are not forgotten but we do not know them nor have we ever spoken with them. All lives are important but please excuse us if we grieve for our own and not for those who we have never been introduced.

Who said they were innocent. I mean come on do you really think they were saying "No Slow down this is way to fast" Hell no. They were more than likely "Hey man this is cool how fast we going can you go faster? Come on go faster" but that's not what this post is about. So please keep your comments to yourself.

I've often found myself being a passenger asking the driver to relax his/her driving.

and we all know what ***umptions can make you.

This has nothign to do with flames... I just find it morbid to be so callus to two innocent lives lost.

And to all 3 I say R.I.P.

This is sad... You guys should really organize a BBQ or car show or something like that and take donations for some charity in his name. I think his family would like that, and the least he deserves for dying at such a young age...

To all who knew Thanos and his buddies who died with him, please accept our condolences, thoughts and prayers from ThirdGen.org and Cascadecrew.org. This is our family away from home, a place we come to talk about 3rd generation Camaros and Pontiac cars, the next gathering and best of all friends. We did not get to know Thanos as well as you all did, but none-the-less, he was Crew family to us, and this comes at a devastating loss to the Crew. We were all excited reading his posts about him finally getting his car home to where he was, looking forward to our next Pacific Northwest gathering and finally meeting him face-to-face with his beloved maroon GTA Firebird. I wish we could have met you, Thanos, from what I've read, everyone has been touched by your presence in their life. RIP Thanos, you'll shine on forever in our memory. ~Stephanie

I didn't know him personally but he has helped me in the past with questions I had. I just want to say that I am truly saddened by the terrible thing that has happened. I want to send my condolences to the families of the victims. This must be a very hard time for them as well as people that knew him. This is a wake up call to everyone that you have to be careful out there. RIP GTA-Paladin and the friends in the car.

Wow I remember lookin at that GTA in the paper and thinking how sad it was to lose such a nice car and now that I have read this thread, I realize how sad it was to lose a member who frequented these boards and made his presence felt. It's disappointing to see young lives lost and more disappointing to know that you won't be able to converse with GTA-Paladin anymore. He was a cool guy and I'm sure will be missed around here.

RIP GTA-Paladin and the other two young reservists in the car.
