UPDATED FORUM RULES (PLEASE read)

This forum is for the discussion of Appearance and Detailing of Third Generation F-Bodies. This means that you may post about :

- Look how good my car looks!
- Look how good this guy's car looks!
- Look at how well this new wax works!
- Look at my new hood!
- Look at my new wheels!

You may NOT post about :

- Look at this RlCER'S car!
- Look at this Mustang!
- Look at this (insert any other non-thirdgen f-body vehicle)
- Look at this (anything non-thirdgen related, INCLUDING OTHER YEARS OF F-BODIES)
- I have XYZ for sale! (We have a Classifieds Section, use it)
- Anything off-topic

This also means that you do not post an off-topic message and then simply tack "Oh, and to make this post on-topic, look at my car!" at the end of the message. Anyone who posts off-topic messages and clearly knows better will be placed on probation.

Furthermore, flame wars are going to be cracked down upon heavily. We are not advocating that you not voice your opinion about someone else's appearance decisions. However, there is a difference between saying "I don't care for that." and "That looks like ****!" If you feel that the second method of voicing your opinion is valid, please learn some tact. Your parents might not have taught you any manners, but you sure had better learn them if you want to continue to be a member of this message board. If you absolutely can not respond with polite negative criticism, then simply do not reply at all.

Please remember that there is a search feature at the top of this message board. Always use it first.

Also, please do not reply to a post if you are not contributing anything of worth to the thread. If a person is wanting feedback on their car or a mod, then feel free to reply (remembering that flames will not be tolerated), but if a person posts asking a technical question, if you do not know the answer, do not reply. You are simply wasting database space. This includes remarks such as 'IBTL' or 'In before the lock.' No one cares if you are in before the lock! Anyone caught posting this reply will be warned and placed on probation. Post quantity does not equal post quality.

If you are attaching images or other files which have no bearing on a thread, please stop. You are not cute, original, or funny when you attach images that fill up hard drive space on the server and slow everyone's connection. Image attachments are for the purpose of showing pertinent information to the browsers of this forum. If you have already attached an image once, please do not attach it again in another post or thread. Instead, link to the image. This conserves server hard drive space as well.

If your sig is more than 5 lines of text, or contains an image greater than 30k or 400x100 pixels, please do your best to make it smaller. Not everyone has a high speed connection. There are options for turning off sig viewing, but these people might actually like to see your signature if it wasn't the size of the Great Wall of China.

Signature images, attachments, and avatars are NOT to have any scantily clad women or men in them, period. Many people visit this site from work (such as myself), and do not want to have their boss on their back because they were looking at bikini-clad women during work hours.

Do not post messages about site policy, criticism of Moderators/Administrators, or another Member ever. We have a feedback board for site policy, and Private Messages can be sent to anyone you have problems with or want to contact. There is also E-Mail.

Do not post sig tests. If you want to see what your new sig looks like, look at one of your old posts. Signatures are automatically updated in your old posts so there is no need to post a sig test.

Further more, if you are going to post more than three pictures of something, please upload them to your own webspace. We often get threads where members believe that posting 15 images is no problem. This slows the boards down dramatically, especially for those on dial-up connection. Cardomain.com is a good place to upload them, and I believe they allow hotlinking images. If you attach more than three images, all of them will be deleted except for the first three. So to clarify, you may post as many images as you would like, as long as they aren’t attached to the thread, but hotlinked from your own webspace.

Important/Useful posts at the top have been started to crack down on the more common threads that we see cluttering up this board. This should keep it easier to read through the threads without seeing 'Make me a sig' or 'Photoshop my car' posts. These threads are there for your convenience so please use them. Also check out the FAQ Board.
Note: Posting a photoshop or sig request DOES NOT guarantee you will get what you want.

For those of you who may have forgotten the rules back in the day of when you first registered, please read through them again to refresh your memory:

·····················Third Generation F-Bodies Rules·······················
Registration to this forum is free! We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. If you agree to the terms, please press the Agree button at the end of the page. Note: By pressing the button you declare that you are over the age of 13. If you are 13 or under, please use this registration form.

Although the Administrators and Moderators of Third Generation F-Bodies will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Third Generation F-Bodies or Jelsoft Enterprises Limited (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By clicking the Agree button, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of Third Generation F-Bodies have the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

································································································································

Under the "Agree" and "OBJECTIONABLE MESSAGE" clauses, users are prohibited from:
  • Posting insulting words, phrases, or comments;
  • Name-calling;
  • Substituting symbols for censored words and phrases;
  • Including advertising in posts or Signatures.

In addition, users are strongly encouraged to:
  • Use the SEARCH function to minimize redundant threads;
  • Use Private Messaging or email links instead of "paging" a member or members;
  • Maintain a sense of humor and decency;

Threads can be locked or deleted at any time for any reason with no notice or explanation given (per user agreement). Moderators generally attempt to email or PM an explanation of the actions, but that is not required.

If you have any questions about abbreviations that you may see at this site such as ‘IIRC’ or ‘BTW’, please visit This Site, it will give you some helpful info on useful part numbers, abbreviations, motor codes, VIN info, and helpful websites.

Please do not get the idea that we want to stifle your fun and run an iron-clad regime free of self-expression. But there is a time and a place for everything, and this board has opted to remain Tech-Only. If you feel the need to discuss current events, relationship troubles, your neighbors Honda/Mustang/Neon/etc, feel free to visit www.nethirdgen.org or www.3rdgen.org. Both of those sites have off-topic messages boards and are run by thirdgen enthusiasts who will gladly talk about any subject matter with you.

Thanks for reading my novel, we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming!
