dash tech article
dash tech article
I know you guys talk about it all the time, I just wanted to know if someone could give me a link for a tech article for putting in 4th gen dash, console, seats, door panels into my car. I wouldn't ask, but I couldn't find any links to articles. I also searched for info on putting a firebird front end onto my 86 camaro(non z28) but coiuld not find any posts on this. Any comments, thanks.

imo, the 4th gen inteririors (minus the seats) looks tacky and cheep. i would consider dooing a custom dash for that one off look if you want something different.
thanks

(this was our old interior - no good pics of the new)

sorry I don't have a tech sheet or website that can help. I'm running everything 4th gen so it was easy!

it looks better than it did in the 4th gen. i have worked on many 4th gen's before , and always finging myself fixing door panels that fall off or break, trying to find the noisy dash piece. and in general, i think that the 4th gen interior just looks cheap in the factory form, (ie, the plastic is too flimsy and shiny). but in your car after you painted it, i might be able to live it
. good job by the way.
thanks
