The switch should be mounted on teh pedal assembly. The wires for it are fat yellow and purple ones, by themselves in a connector, right by the pedals. There's an "extension" that plugs into that to hook up the auto trans shifter interlock. Just unplug that, and plug the conenctor onto the switch.
There's a little bracket that goes under one of the MC nuts to hold the reservoir.

umm, i'm kinda confused-- so the existing auto plug is taken out? or is it still used? should the fat yellow and purple wires already be there? do i just run those to the clutch switch? then what do i do--is there some other switch that i plug into where the auto switch was?
i'm not trying to be confusing-- i'm just not competent at electrical-- i tried to draw a picture of what i thought it should look like-- please correct me if i'm wrong-

Your drawing is essentially accurate. I think you already understand it, you just don't realize that yet. Just look under your dash: all will instantly become clear.
I think, once you find the connector under the dash with the yellow and purple wires and the extension plugged into it, and you also have the clutch safety switch, you won't have any trouble at all figuring out what goes where.
You can just leave the disconnected auto trans wire laying in the car. It won't plug into anything. But it's not very heavy, and it's fairly low-maintenance, so it's not important that you do anything in particular with it.
You don't have to cut anything, or run wires, or anything like that. The factory puts all the plugs everywhere that they might be needed; all you have to do is plug them in.

You need an electric one.
Just go to the junkyard and get one out of about a 90-up Camaro 5-speed. It bolts right into the same place as your cable drive does. Gears for it would depend on your rear end ratio.

Ill make it easy for you. Look at where your auto shifter is/was. There was a harness connected to it. It had a 14 gauge yellow and a 14 gauge purple wire in it. Trace these back under the dash. If you can't find the factory plug that was provided for manuals, just cut the wires and splice them in. Real easy. Since it is a switched line, the polarity is kind of disregarded unless the power flows through a diode.
